Default T56 behind a v10 ram

Ok guys i got a wild hair up my ass while looking for the nv4500 or any manual transmission for the v10/ cummins.

SOOOOOO heres what ive rounded up so far. I scrounged my NP435 4 speed spare trans for one of my long gone projects.
then my buddy and i were talking and i couldnt resist buying the t56 he had under his work bench.

We think it should hold up to the power the v10 makes? plus mine is two wheel drive and is not a hot rod, so think it may work?
I got a steal of a deal for 400 bucks. it has been rebuilt recently, i helped him do it.

yes indeed it will with the bellhousing i found on a diesel bombers web site. theoretically the bolt pattern on the viper and dodge arethe same

It'll definitely hold up, if it can take the 500+ hp from a Viper V10, your 300+ hp V10 should be fine.

I have a dodge NP435 I'm wanting to try in a project truck. They are stout and definitely a cheaper option than a nv4500. What mods have you done?

well today i pulled the v10 out, found two pistons with holes in them.

so Here is what i am lining up for my v10. I did have a turbo with a throttle body 53mm and 1.7 rockers headers etc. Stock pcm. when i pulled the original plugs out the ground straps were smashed to the electrode. I would like to do the np435 with a gv on it.

Ive got a 4"billet crank coming from scat cranks. they are making a set of rods, just shipped my crank, rods, pistons to them so they could make everything.
The cam of choice will be comp cams XR-258R ( 98-315-10) 800-5000 rpm
heads will be ported and polished (via me) with 1.7 rockers. I have the original intake and throttle body that i will bolt on for keeping crap out of the engine. I bought a 1st gen and third generation viper manifold that i found for 300 a piece(shipping included) off ebay. trying to make up my mind which one i want to use and machine the spacers for it.

So all in all i went nuts buying parts and almost maxed out a credit card. Havent ordered pistons yet, because i dont know if i will go back to turbocharging on na
