I have a 1500 and as of last weekend I pulled off the 35's and went with a 33 Nitto Crosstek. Their 20lbs. lighter per tire!!! So far I'm seeing great results.

I don't think you are alone with your mileage. I looked at 2500's and most people where struggling with mileage with the Gas engine. It's just such a heavy truck, add on bigger tires and I'm not surprised with your mileage. The Chevy's and Ford Gas engines are getting the same mileage too btw.
Gears and tuner would probably be the best way to "try" to improve mileage. Also, if you didn't recalibrate you speedo/odo you will be showing worse mileage than you are really getting.

Forget the tuner it got me no gain in mpg. I have a 2011 2500 so im seeing 9-11mpg mostly city. I have the 3:73 gear and the Power Wagon i think has 4:56. There is nothing really you can do except live with it or trade it in on a diesel or lighter truck. Don't buy in to the notion that the intake or exhaust will get any mpg or even noticeable hp gains. BTW power wagon rocks.

going to a lighter street tread tire will give a bit of an improvement.

Is your speedo correct? If they installed your 35" tires and didn't adjust the computer, the figures will read low. I seriously doubt you can do anything though to get the MPGs to 15 with that size of tire.

I get about 14 mpgs with 4.10s, 33" tires, and the new 6 speed in my 2012 2500 Hemi. That is a mix of city, highway, hills.

RDB, man that's a tall order to ask from a near 8000 lb 3/4 ton 4x4. The problem with modifying is sometimes vehicle handling and aerodynamics get thrown outta whack. If you want to continue running 35's then gearing and speedo calibration is a must. But here's the bad news, the tires are heavy and your truck sits higher and those mudders or all terrains arent helping in the aero department. It's just the nature of the beast. It's not the Hemi's fault for low highway fuel economy. You just have to find the right combination of add ons to get it all to work like it was engineered from the get go. Your 3.73's are your number first fix to address if your going to stick with 35's. 4.10s I think would get you moving towards the right direction. And don't forget to have your ECU flashed to tie it all together. Or invest in a programmer.

I run 37's on my 2011 2500. With all my mods I see 14-15 on the freeway.(65-70 miles per hour) In town I get 8-9 mpg. The only way you see better MPG is changing the gears. Lift with Hemi=bad gas mileage.

Best of luck to you.

Jake
