Default Erratic fuel gauge readings

Hello everybody

This is my first post here and it comes in the form of a question. My 2011 Ram 1500 5.7L with 60K+ miles has been giving me erratic fuel gauge readings for last few weeks. It started when the weather turned cold here in central Ohio. Some days it seems fine other days it will read 1/4 to 1/2 a tank less than what's really in the tank. Today it seems to be stuck on empty. I've been using my trip odometer to keep track of when its time to refuel. Any thoughts?

Thank you.
Jeff

Sounds like the temperature swings could be causing a connection/high resistance issue.

Any time this has happened to me it's been a sending unit issue. Good luck!
