Default Outdoorsman anyone?

After I got my 2012 Bighorn last fall, my stepfather is about to make the switch from Ford to a new 2013 Ram. He is thinking the outdoorsman package, since we live in rural North Dakota, and there is not many of them on the lots around here I was curious if anyone has one of these, and what you think of it

I just bought one also. It's a great option package. Wish it had an electric locker option like the Power Wagon, but other than that I think it is about perfect for my needs.

I have a 2012 and love it. Here is the downfall though. My truck is only rated to carry 1165 lbs. Many other models carry 200 lbs more. Mine came with all terrain load e range tires, 11 didn't, so check with the 13. You get higher gear ratio standard and skid plates and tow hooks which was a must for me with three hunting camps. My truck carries weight decently I had 1000 lbs of 12 foot sheet rock and it held it about dead level maybe a slight rake. I have ordered airlift 1000 but have yet to install them but this will help with any loads and they're cheap. I get about 13-14mpg up and down hills. I live on a really steep hill that really hurts mpg. Have yet to run the truck in summer but should get at least 16. Also it is one of the few rams with 17 inch rims which you'll come to appreciate once you need tires especially aggressive ones. Any questions let me know but mine is a 2012 so it may be a little different

Just bought my Outdoorsman. I was told it has skid plates and the options really impressed me. I live in Canada so the back up cam doesn't work very well in the winter due to the snow and mud building up on the cam.

Just picked one up one friday and love been driving a 2012 3500 for the past year but know use it as a work truck only. Outdoorsman is a great truck great package, test drove both the slt standard and the sport model but was most impressed with the outdoorsman.
