I believe if you buy the prewired ones like the Amazon link, they are just standard, and they are bright. Lets say you use 10 as the running tail lights, then there are 10 for the brake lights. the first 10 will have a certain amount of brightness ( depending on the spacing and number actually used ) then when you apply the brakes the other 10 ( total of 20 lights now or whatever amount are used) add to another certain amount of brightness due to the lights filling in the spaces or covering a larger area.

Only other way you will get dual brightness or a brighter bulb is going with something with a stock base ( bulb socket ) with whatever brightness you pick to use. If you use white with a red lens it will appear brighter, if you use red with a red lense it will be more intense red... so you can use a combination of white and red LEDs for running/brake lights like red for the running and white for the brakes to make the brake lights appear brighter. It is basically your choice and preference. I think you will need an inline resistor for the turn signals, or upgrade your flasher to an electronic one made for LEDs ( kind expensive for a flasher)

You want to run red LEDs for the brake lights regardless of lens color. IF the lens is red you run a red light behind it, its like the tail light leds for the trucks. The lens is red and the bulbs are red as well.

Those LEDs from Amazon are exactly what I was talking about. Run say 10 as a "lights on", run another 10 as a "brake circuit" and then run however many for your blinkers. Im on my phone right now, Ill draw something up on paper and take a picture and show you tomorrow. Itll explain it better.

So here's what I get so far:

I have a red lens(I think it has a "refractor" or whatever it's called, that spreads the light....is this ok?) I believe I could buy an aftermarket clear lens which might look cool.

I'll get the red LEDS for running and brake lights. I'll figure out how many I want a little later after I understand this whole setup better.

So I'll have red running lights then when you apply the brake I can have say twice the amount of red lights light up for the brake, and it will be twice as bright?

Then I can get amber LED's for the turn signals, and again figure out the wiring later once I understand the setup more...

Am I on the right track now?

A little simpler would be.... if you had 20 lights total, half would run as regular running lights, when you apply the brakes the other half will light up increasing the amount of light.
You can mix them together in one area like a dual filament bulb or seperate them like a 2 bulb setup. I will try and do a drawing as well.
