Yeah I live in north Texas also. Same thought.
I planned to put 35% all around. Fronts will be legal limit and rear factory tint is already like 20% so 35% on top makes it 7%, a bit lighter than limo (5%).
I would guess that's close to your specs also...

Me too. Plano and Denton are bad. That means your fronts are 25% after film so I bet he did put 35% up there. Back window can be painted here so could put 5% over the 20% factory but that would be hard to see out at night. Best bet is 35% all around. Back becomes 7% and front about 25%. I plan to tint my windshield super light also. On my Challenger 392 we did 80% film. Can't tell it's there but low glare, keeps more heat out and protects dash. Prob do the same on my truck. Unless my doc will get me an exemption then I might do 50%.

Did you have to get longer shocks and what size tires were you able to go with? I'm wanting to level/lift my 2wd also but can't decide which kit to go with.

Depends what you are looking to do tire wise...but if I was lifting a 2wd I would use a CST spindle up front and a 1.5 inch progressive spring in the rear for 4"/1.5" lift and level. Leaves a bit of rake for hauling and will ride awesome. This would run about $1000 in parts though. Alternatively you could save about $150 and just use a spacer in the back. These would fit ~35 inch tire.

That's a pretty expensive route to go...more budget conscious would be a front and rear spacer kit which could be picked up for under $200 and installed pretty easily...spacers on a 2wd are even safer than on a 4wd because on the 2wd there are no CVs up front to mess up drive line angles of...but I think the CST spindle and Icon rear spring setup is best for longevity and use of the truck. When I was planning to get a 2wd this was the setup I had settled on.

Yes I agree with hemipowerV8 I just did the spacers for under 200 and it was fairly easy. Right now I am running 33" all terrain but there is plenty of clearance for when I do finally get 35" tires. I did not have to buy any longer shocks. Just the spacers.

And thank you Majiik.

I think I just made up my mind. I saw the pics of your truck in your other thread. I aready have the same tires, put almost 15k on the and love the way they hold the road. BTW your truck is looking good! Thanks for the info on the level kit.
