Exactly, go by your manual and good judgement. Of you are able, do not mind and have the time there is no reason not to change the fluids yourself and save yourself some coin.

I'm planning on keeping this one for a while so I think doing my own maintenance would be beneficial. Not only will I save money but also some time because the service dept. is slllooow. This is the first vehicle I've owned that I haven't done any of the maintenance on so I'm capable of doing so and if not I have a buddy who is ase certified. I'll be changing the trans oil and filters and diff fluid just for my sake because my job sends me all over the country sometimes pulling a trailer. Thanks for the input I just wanted to put it out there and get some feedback from you guys.

I know this is in line with Chryslers recommended maintainence, but I won't let my own personal truck go this long without changing these fluids, especially since I do some occassional towing and hauling.

Default which and how much

Don't mean to hijack a thread, but in searching threads to learn certain things I figure those who commented here may be helpful.I'm preparing my 07 1500 5.7 for my vac trip soon.Discovered I need to change the radiator as I have a pin leak.Looking to use the 100% Zerex G-05.Just how much is needed once I do a full flush? I know I must mix approx 50/50 so I will use distilled water.Just curious how many gal of Zerex to buy. I've thought of replacing the plugs also even though I show evidence of needing to.Which plugs have proved both a good bargain AND a good performer if I may ask.Really appreciate any tips/experiences that may be shared. Thanks,DeWayne
