Default Hid ?

Do I need a relay? My phone will not let me search for some reason. I bought the Ddm tuning kit. If so where can I get a good relay

If they are plug'n' Play like mine, you will more then likely need a battery harness. I installed them without a harness at first, moment I put into drive they would start to flicker. With the harness they work properly, if you do have a harness and still have issues, then a relay should solve the problem... Typically small automotive customization shops will have relays and everything because most sell plug'n'play HID kits. shouldnt be hard for you to find a store.

Actually, it's a resistor that you need. Most HID harnesses have a relay which switches on the power when it senses power coming from the driver's headlight switch. The resistor is needed because our Rams use a "pulse" power feed. The resistor acts as a filter for the pulsing. The harness I have for my lights came with a resistor built into it. When you get one, make sure you mount the resistor on metal. It gets a bit warm!

Ok have any links so I can do this the right way? Electronic stuff confuses the crap outta me. My buddy is putting some in his avenger and he said they have the same pulse system but he's using something from the battery to make it work and it does. he didn't say anything about resistors.

I Have some input on this topic, I too am a Modaholic Tim. I Have a 2006, with retrofitted Mini H1 Bi-Xenon projectors, in black housings, with a 55W hid system for headlights, and 35W Hid for fogs. both 6000k. The headlights are wired through a harness that includes (2) 50W 3ohm resistors, an in-line fuse, plus all the correct connectors to simply plug-n-play. Using stock switches for all light functions, even high beams. Possible thanks to a sweet "mopar specific" harness from TRS.com. (they even have downloadable installation instructions on their site). The fog lights are just a cheap amazon 35W kit for 9006, these are simply plug-n-play with a simple anti-flicker in line controller before the ballast.

Very pleased with how everything has been functioning so far, I have had the fogs in for about 6 mo. and work great still. The headlights I just finished the retrofit last night , which I might add was not to hard at all. I will post pics later.

I ended up having to buy resistors.. finally found a place in my city to sell them.. got em today.. will install today.. hopefully this eliminates my quick flicker going from stopped at red light to gas odd quick flicker.
