WTF, I have a block heater in my Ram and have used it. Why would they say something so stupid. Maybe they only designed it for Canadian RAMs.

Just to let you know, this is a common Dodge fault. Not just with Rams but with any Chrysler products with remote key fob. The issue is with the WCM (wireless control module) sticking and not releasing the key. If this happens turn the vehicle off and rip out the key. The chances of it happening again are pretty good but you can get a new updated module under warranty.

Purchased my truck last July, key got stuck once a few months ago. I started the truck, put it in drive then back to park, shut it off and it came right out. Sounds like this is more common then originally thought.

Happens to me at least once a week since new. Just figured it was a shift lever alignment issue as it clears when I press on the brake pedal and jiggle the column shift lever a bit. Will be curious to hear what dealer says when I bring it by for annual inspection later this month.
Definitely not a reason to buy a Chevy (although I miss my 54!).
