Not on a 5.9 engine, it doesn't. And any shop that charges $100 for 30 minutes of labor won't be in business very long.

I can't say for sure because labor rates vary from place to place but you should expect to pay 1.5 - 2.0 hours of the shops labor rate. Any more than that and you need to find a new shop. You may also be charges disposal fees for old coolant, shop supplies and those sorts of things.

a couple of weekends ago. the shops will charge a rate for labor, anti freeze, etc etc. IMO it should be around a 100 bucks.

Most shops usually price repairs by the Flat Rate thats set. Not in how long it really takes. The rest is their profit in their pocket! Thats how the Automotive Industry operates.

It can be done on a 4.7 but there's no way you did this in 30 minutes on a 5.9, even with air tools.

It took me 4 hours to replace the pump. Water pumps vary from manufactures, from $40 to $145. I bought mine from Mopar, cause I didn't feel like constantly replacing it.
