Default Push button start issues

When I first bought my 2013, you would just touch the button and it would start. I got a recall to bring it in and have the daytime lights activated. After this update was preformed it changed the start sequence. Now you have to hold the button to start it. The dealer had the truck for a day trying to figure out what changed. They compared it to one that came off the line with the daytime lights activated and it started the way mine used to. After having it for a full day they said "sorry nothing we can do, that is just the way it will be from now on." Has anyone else experienced this?

Somehow they disabled the tip start, I didn't think it could be disabled. Hopefully one of the resident techs will chime in.

Just for giggles, try unhooking the negative battery terminal for 30 seconds...then hook it back up. I've done this to reset the system when quirky things pop up after an install. Might be worth a try!

I don't have the button start but when I bought my 13 SLT I could just do a quick momentary twist of the key and it would start.
I had the dealer install a factory brake controller and program the computer and now there is a delay when I twist the key before it starts to crank. Once it starts cranking I can let go and it will continue to crank until it starts.
At first I thought I was imagining it but it' is definitely delayed.
It's not a big deal but something isn't right.

Wondering if anyone has had any luck fixing this problem? Got a brake controler installed last week. It use to be foot on the brake and a quick press of the button it would start. Now after the install foot on the brake and press the button it goes to accessory, then a second push will start it. Or foot on the brake and hold it until it starts. Not the end of the world but annoying non the less. Took it back to the dealer and after 2 hours they tried telling me it was normal but refused to go check a new one on the lot to prove them wrong

Mine started doing this also after I took the truck to the dealer about a problem with the radio. He said he did reset or something (I knew more about the radio than he did). Every since then the push button start is delayed.
