Default Toyo MT road noise

so next week im pulling the trigger on the 5100s and tires in all honesty what are the toyo MTs like for road noise...

i promised myself that i wouldnt buy mud tires ever again (had the Goodyear Wrangler territory on my jeep Commander and they were noisey as hell) but every time i look at a ram with Toyo MTs they just look right...

i want an enjoyable ride without the need to crank my stereo or yell to communicate with my passengers...

or simply say "get ATs"

You will get a light hum with the toyo's because after all, it is an mt. But with your windows up it will be barely noticeable. They will get louder when the roads are wet too, but not bad.

Don't compare the Toyo Open Country MT's to the BF Goodrich AT's

There is no comparison at pretty much every level.

I've owned each of the tires more than one time.

Toyo Open Country MT's win hands down.

They are, by FAR, the quietest mud terrain you'll ever own.

Like Nike says.....

I've heard that the Nitto Trail Grappler MT's are pretty quiet for a MT too. Lots of guys on here have them so maybe they will chime in.

There is a reason Toyo MTs are $$$ and you see them on every show truck... They are absolutely one of the best tires I have owned.
I have had:.
Brand/Model/Size
- BFG AT (285)
- BFG KM1 MT (285)
- BFG KM2 MT (35)
- Pro Comp MT (35)
- Pro Comp Xterrain (37 & 38)
- Pro Comp Xtreme Allterrain (35)
- Nitto Terra (285)
- Dueler AT (285)
- Cooper STT (33)
- Toyo MT (37)

By far the Toyos are my favorite. Absolutely a great tire. Road noise is not noticeable at all like my BFG MTs were. Some of the best tires I have ever owned. Haven't been able to put them through the paces offroad yet but have taken some long road trips in them and am extremely pleased.

Toyo Hands down makes one of the best tires around! They last a long time if maintained properly, and as far as the MT's go they are one of the quietest MT's I have ever owned as well

Thanks
Jeremiah

As others have said with the Toyo MT's you will hear a definite humm but they are not 'loud' by any stretch of the imagination
