Default employee deals

Hey guys i see lots of deals posted for off the street folks, but i dont see many that employees have worked. Can we get some idea as to what kind of deals us employees get??? I know its SUPPOSED to be the same across the board but i seem to hear all the time about people getting better than what the book says we get. Thanks in advance! Teflon

As an employee, shouldn't you know that?

From my understanding, Chrysler must approve all employee deals and are strictly governed as to what can be charged for any truck package and options. No deal can take place until Chrysler signs off on it. Identification and and a control number must be supplied by the Chrysler employee along with a completed form.

Also the dealer is paid directly by Chrysler for any employee deal so no haggling can take place between the buyer (Chrysler employee) and the dealership.

I ordered a Ram 1500 Crew Cab 4x4 Big Horn on Jan.30th with the following:

Customer Preferred Package 26X
5.7L V8 Hemi MDS VVT Engine
8 Speed Transmission
Mineral Grey Metallic Paint
Premium Cloth Bucket Seats
Anti-Spin Diff. Rear Axle
ParkView Rear Back-up Camera
Spray in Bedliner
Class IV Hitch
Trailer Brake Control
UConnect 8.4a
3.92 Rear Axle Ratio
Remote Start and Security Group
121 Litre Fuel Tank

Price with all the options: $51,355 cdn. + Taxes & Fees

After Incentives (- $9,250 cdn. at the time), Employee Discount (through my mother), and some more haggling.

New Price: $31,450 cdn. + Taxes & Fees

You can definitely haggle. When I ordered I was hoping the Ram was on the Bonus Bucks for employees but it wasn't, I was told this could be up to another $2500 cdn. off.

So, I got all the prices from the dealers and then took off another $2500 and that was the price I told each dealer I was getting from another dealer (little white lie, hehe).

A dealer matched the price and that was who I went with. At first they were going to throw in lifetime oil, lube, and filter as well but when they worked the numbers they couldn't do it because they were giving the truck to me for so cheap and would have lost money, or not made any, I believe if they did.

Not quite sure how/why Chrysler would sell a truck below their cost. Not a great way to be profitable.

Do you have a signed employee deal approved by Chrysler?

Not sure what that is.

But I have signed an order form with the dealer and put down a $500 deposit. When I come in to pick the truck up I need to bring in a current paycheck stub from my mother to show that she is currently working and an employee control number that her work will give to her.

When I bought the truck it was the end of the month and they said they wanted to meet their numbers for that month. So, maybe they weren't worried about making money because they would get it back in a monthly bonus if they sold enough vehicles.

My understanding is that employee purchases are controlled through Chrysler directly. The deal flows through Chrysler accounting/auditing division and must be approved based on hard numbers that can't change - that's how the dealer makes its money on employee purchases (directly from Chrysler)

There is a control number that is a certain amount off of the vehicle that Chrysler will then refund the us. The rest can still be haggled. It is just pretty much another rebate. But most dealers will stick to a certain price. I don't think we are stuck at a certain number by Chrysler. It is just a specific type of rebate

this was for the year 2012
employee advantage

https://www.ea.chrysler.com/EmpAdv/LandingPage.jsp
---------------------------------------------------------------
i don't know when this was written

Chrysler employees still can help friends get a deal on a new Chrysler vehicle. Under its Friends Program, friends, neighbors and extended family members are given a preferred price — up to 1% below factory invoice plus a $75 administration fee — toward the purchase or lease of select models.
http://abcnews.go.com/Business/story?id=4496631&page=1
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chrysler employees, retirees and eligible family members can take advantage of additional savings with the Chrysler Employee Advantage program, which offers significant savings under sticker on most new Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep & Ram cars. As of October 1, 2012 all vehicles are eligible with the exception of Dodge Dart SE, Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, and Dodge Viper. But don't worry -- we offer excellent internet pricing on these models, too.

Chrysler employees, retirees and eligible family members qualify for the program. Eligible family members include the employee's or retiree's spouse, surviving spouse, same sex domestic partner, parents, stepparents, spouse's parents, sons, daughters, stepsons, stepdaughters, brothers, sisters, stepbrothers, stepsisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, half-brothers, half-sisters, grandchildren and grand parents.

by the way, almost anyone can become a PREFERRED CUSTOMER, pay $75, or join TreadLightly, etc.

I'm a tech at Jaguar Land Rover, but there is a Chrysler dealer in our group (Go Auto has like 20 dealership in the group). The standard for any Go Auto employee on vehicle purchases, new or used, is $500 over cost, regardless of brand.
