This is my first truck but family history played a huge part in it and how little trouble they have been to my family.

1999 2500 reg cab 4X4 Dad's work Truck
2002 3500 QC cummins 4X4 Dad's truck
2002 1500 QC cousins truck
2005 2500 QC 4X4 cousins Truck
2008 1500 QC 4X4 my truck
2011 1500 CC 4X4 cousins truck
2011 3500 CC cummins 4X4 uncles truck
2012 1500 CC 4X4 aunts truck

Those are just the trucks as well there are more. So for me I went with recommendations from family and how it felt when I was test driving the different trucks

I've never owned a Ram or Dodge/Chrylser product, so thought I'd give it a try. I've owned a GMC, Chevy, Toyota, Honda, Mazda, the last one was a Ford Duper Duty. Gonna give Ram a try. Plus my fiancé loves them...she had an old base model 2002 gutless V6 that has over 100k miles on it...the thing won't quit!!

I have a 2013 on order. By far the best driving truck on te market. Great suspension. The Hemi is legendary, and it won North American Truck of the Year!

For me it was price. My 05 Black Rumble Bee years ago was a good deal and fun to drive but only had it for a short time. Last year I bought a 09 2wd big horn cause it was a good price compared to all the other used trucks I found. Then last month I traded it for a 13 Lone Star 4wd and I am not into the dated Chevy interior but I liked the F150's a few friend I own have but the I liked the body and interior on the 13 Ram and it was alot less than a F150 with similar options. I actually was going to buy a 12 F150 crew with a 6' lift and 4k miles for $33k but it sold before I could go work the deal so i hit the Dodge lot and after looking at different models I liked the lone Star(Big Horn) the best for the price after all the rebates.

It's my favorite movie of all time. And yeah, what an awesome sound. Based on the speedo, it looks like it's accelerating right quick as well!

I had an 07 1500 that I drove trouble free for several years. Decided I wanted something else so drove a Suburban for awhile which I couldn't keep out of the shop. My 07 was a good truck, but as far as comfort, ride, and options my 2013 Outdoorsman blows it out of the water. If it proves to be as dependable as the 07 was I'll be a very happy owner for years to come.

Holy torque! Seems like a lot of torque for a gasser engine of that time, could be wrong though. Still awesome!

@Noco - Those suburbans do seem to be in the shop a lot. I don't know what problems you had but my step dads had lots of little gremlins, and the tranny needed replacing. Only thing that seems reliable is the engine, which is severely underpowered it seems.

^^^^The 1st Gen Viper 8L V10 had 400 HP and 465 lb ft of torque so I don't find the 450 lb ft of torque hard to believe.

Why the heck didn't they use that engine in the ram!? Side note - we are getting way off topic, haha.
