Default Silly Question about MDS and Oil Change

I changed my oil about a month ago and switched to Amsoil which I have done in all my vehicles for the last 10 yrs. Awesome stuff by the way. But anyways I noticed that since I changed my oil, I stay in MDS mode about twice as much. Has anyone else noticed this? The weather has changed a little bit in the last month so wondering if that could be it as well. It goes in to MDS alot in town now and even when I'm accelerating and it never did before. Not really a complaint but an observation.

Yeah check your oil-needs to be 10w-20. I would guess warm weather would be a bigger factor as everything is nice and warmed up sooner.

It's 100% Synthetic 5W20. That's what the manual calls for.

Recommended oil viscosity is 5w20. I have been running Pennzoil Platinum since my first oil change and I have not noticed MDS coming on more or less during the different seasons. It still kicks in driving 60km/h down city streets in the morning during winter months as it does during the summer months. Just my observation.

It may not have anything to do with the oil change but I definitely noticed it the same day. Not a big deal though. Was more curious.

It probably has to do with your engine having to work just a little less hard due to the high quality of the oil. Being an Amsoil dealier I hear a lot about people noticing their idle and running RPM's dropping after they switch.

That might be it, it crossed my mind. I've been an Amsoil dealer for about 10 yrs. I only sale to family and friends at cost though. Not trying to make any money off of it. It's real noticeable though that its in MDS much much more. Wasn't sure if anyone else noticed this after switching or not.
