Default Radio Display Brightness

I have a 2012 Bighorn with the standard RES radio. I live in a state where it is manditory to have your lights on if the windshield wipers are on. My problem is that on a day where it is lightly raining or snowing and I have the wipers on the display on the radio is so dim I can't read it. Is there a way to increase the brightness on the radio display when the lights are off?

I don't know about the RES radio, but have you tried to turn the control that increases the Instrument Panel light ?
The touch screen radios have a daylight/night time setting

The manual talks about "parade" mode where the display would stay bright. Unfortunatly it also turns on the interior light.

My 2012 has a 3 position switch/dimmer. All the way over all interior lights on, next position down turns the dome lights off but leaves the instrumentation on bright, the last position is the dimmer. Hopefully this helps
