Default Anyone have pics/sizes of the factory junk "Y-Pipe" ..??

I'm planning my exhaust system before I even receive my truck.. Haha

Just wondering what the stock exhaust/Y pipe looks like. As well as the tubing diameter in and out.

Doing a 3" in/2.5" dual out muffler isnt going to cut it for me. I'll be doing something around a 3.5"in/3" dual out.

Also I'm not looking for a lesson on proper tubing sizes and back pressure and all that. I've built many many high end systems from scratch and know my stuff...

So please just pics and sizes

..but, i'm interested in your opinion on how I set this up on mine...forget that it's not mandrel bent (I know it's better)...but see how I did mine, I kinda did this on a whim, just told my muffler guy to do it this way...

I'm using a magnaflow muffler which is just another big Y pipe...our trucks like to breathe so I wasn't doin a chambered setup (flowmaster..I did run this a long while back and just by swappin to a magnaflow i could tell the difference at higher rpm's)

I had my whole setup flanged at certain points so that i could have the option to disconnect it at certain points when I go to the track (and do turndowns at those points)...

you know what's interesting...my setup is a 3" dual in/3.5" single out (basically the same muffler your going with but i rotated mine 180)..

Thats an interesting setup. Not so sure about the dual in single out. And H pipes are an ok balance piece.

For a regular street truck your system is fine. I personally would never let a muffler shop near my truck. The work they do is cost effective but thats about it. Squish bent 3" is more like 2.5"

I've always always went big on diameter with awesome results. Both sound and power wise. I built a full dual system for a SRT8 300 consisting of 3" with an x pipe up to 3.5" Hooker Aerochamber mufflers and full 3.5" tailpipes with 4.5" tips. It was a one of a kind deep powerful sound. Oh how I miss that car

Oh i hear ya... however, bein one of the very very few trucks that run 12's (can count on one hand how many 4 drs do)...something can be said about my setup...
