Default MDS, which is it?

So I have been trying to figure out which cylinders are the ones that deactivate in the Hemi. It seems like it would be easy to find out, but hasn't been-even in Allpar and Engine Builder's thorough writeups they don't say it. My Haynes manual doesn't say either; I assume it would be the same cylinder numbers that it was for the '03-'08 Hemi

I know that on one bank it is the 2 in the middle, and on the other bank it is the one in front and the one in back, but is it 1, 4, 6, and 7; or 2, 3, 5, and 8? 1, 3, 5, and 7 are on the driver's side, and 2, 4, 6, and 8 are passenger's side.

MDS Operation:
During MDS operation the same four cylinders are always shut down.
They are 1, 4, 6, and 7.

These are the only cylinders that have the deactivating lifters. The other four cylinders have normal hydraulic lifters.

"""""""""Since the firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-7-2, the system can .......""""""""

On that link, the firing order is missing the #5 cylinder; it should read: 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2
That's the same firing order I had on my '69 Charger 383-4 bbrl; that's what I call consistency.

On a different note, I wish there was a light coming on to let me know I'm in MDS mode, I sure can't feel it....

From what I have read, all Mopar V8s including the 440, 426, 400, 383, 360, 318, and all the current Hemis and the 4.7 fire 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2, it seems pretty standard. Most GM V8s other than the LS series do too
