Check out the mufflex web site. They offer various length magnaflow mufflers which all come with welded on pipe to make up the difference for the shorter mufflers. And they clamp on with no welding. Some guys on here say they don't like the clamp on style, but the factory exhaust is clamped and does not seem to be a problem. JMO.

My exhaust guy cut the stock muffler right by the inlet and outlet. I remember him commenting that my 18" MaxFlow was almost identical in length. He added just a small 2-3 inch section of pipe to join the outlets to the tail pipes. Almost zero drone, I get a real low , deep sounding vibration around 45mph if the ECO light is on. In town I usually leave the truck in 4th or 5th gear anyways so i do not have to press the gas pedal as much to change speed.

For no drone and matching stainless quality with the right clamps, go with the Solo Mach 40 setup. For around $300 it's a steal IMO.

as long as you keep the resonators on you should have no drone..to keep it cloes to stock, do the 5 x 11 x 22" magnaflow si/do.

$339 for a bolt-on muffler is a steal alright. They are robbing you. IMO.

No drone, full stainless, good clamps and no drone for $300, I'll take it everytime. To each his own but I just don't see $300 spent on a $30-49K truck being a big deal.

True, welding doesn't hurt either if you have someone nearby that can do it right. There's no one near me that can TIG for a sh*t! And those clamps would be better than the welds I've seen most exhaust shops do. I tell you, the Northeast is not exactly a haven for performance shops.

I'm still looking at videos, I'm in no rush to get a muffler, So i'll do my research and come to a definitive decision. Thanks for all the suggestions.
