Default Recirculation Actuator problem

I Have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 5.7 Liter hemi. When selecting fresh air from recirculate the Recirculation Actuator is spinning 360 degrees instead of just 45 degrees. This has broken my fresh air/recirculation door. What is causing the actuator to spin 360 instead of 45? When selecting recirculate from fresh air the actuator works correctly and only rotates 45 degrees. I have unfortunately replace the recirculation actuator and heater control unit and have not had any success. Does anyone have any suggestions on what is causing my problem?

My recirc door is gone as well. It must of broken off for the previous owner and possibly fallen on the blower motor. Anyway, I dont know if I'll fix it or not, air cond works fine, just not great on hot texas days!
