Default Gear Question

I have a '12 Sport 4x4 with 3.55 gears and LSD and i am looking to upgrade to 4.10. Is it as simple as buying the front and rear Motive gear set from Moes and installing it? What else do i need or am overlooking. Not sure if i have 8.0 front, 9.25 rear or ZF. How do i tell what i have?
Thanks

I wish it was that simple, but unfortunately it's not. In order to do the front you will have to get a carrier from a older ram(2011 or older) because in 2013 they switched it and they are actually welded in. For the rear I know when you go 4.56 the carrier has to be machined for the gears to fit. I'm not sure about the 4.10 they might fit. Someone should chime in on that.

Any shop that does gears or the dealer service Dept. should be able to easily answer that question.

MoesPerformance has mopar (oem) 4.10 gears that fit right in. They cost 3 times more than any ring and pinion kit, but you don't have to modify the carrier.

No, as Campbell said you can't change the gears in the front diff without getting a front diff from a 2011. Your gears are welded to the carrier and can't be changed. Overall you're looking at around $3500 for the gear swap including the front diff, ring and pinion sets, machining, and labour.
