Default 2005 Ram Daytona Magnaflow muffler help

Greetings, I have a 2005 Ram Daytona regular cab all stock and would like to have a Magnaflow muffler welded in place of the factory muffler. I prefer deep and loud sound. I want to keep the factory exhaust and dual tips going out the side. Can anyone recommend a model# magnaflow muffler to buy?

So you have single in / dual out stock muffler set up?

Magnaflow 14" single in, dual out, #12198 (stainless) or #14221 (polished).

So you want to replace the stock Borla with a Magnaflow?

I would look at either a 14 or 18 inch since their are no resonators on the Daytona.

I think the factory dual tail pipes are 2.25" so a 3" in dual 2.25 or 2.5" out would work. Nothing is going to bolt right in, some of the pipes will have to be extended.

I'm not certain but I believe the factory pipes are 3"/2.5" out. That's what I would order and if it turns out to be 2.25" your installer can add a simple reducer. I'm pretty sure it's 2.5" though.

If you want loud I would order the 14" over the 18". I have the 14" on mine and it's not extremely loud. It's fairly quiet when creeping around and opens up when you get on it but it's still not as loud as the Flowmaster Super 44 that I took off of it. I prefer MF over FM though for various reasons, primarily the sound. The MF is more of a deep rumble and the FM is more of a throaty, chambered hollow sound.

Thanks guys. I ordered a 14" magnaflow #12198 and the Magnaflow Y pipe #10778 from advanceautoparts.com and the total shipped with tax in CT is $97.82!
I used a $40. coupon code for orders over $100. and free shipping.
$40. Coupon code is: trt41

Took me awhile to figure out what to get and yes it's a 3"in dual 2.25" out on the Daytona looks like and the Borla is just about as quiet as a factory muffler.

The only other mod for this summer will be to put a CAI on it and most likely a oil free Volant from what I read so far.
