Now I am looking to put either a leveling kit or a 4-5 in lift. I'm also looking to put some oversized tires and wheels. I am having a hard time finding a lift that is of good quality but not out of my budget. I know with lifts you cheap is not better. You buy cheap, you build cheap. I want something that will last and have great performance. For tires and wheels I am looking for something that will fit and look good with my large flares. I have found many sets that I like but I am not sure what size to go with. I want tall and wide tires that will clear on my truck with out rubbing. So what are some good brands for lifts and sizes for my wheels. I found a tuff country lift but wanted some input b4 a purchase. http://www.xtremediesel.com/tuffcoun...ilspacers.aspx
First off welcome.
I have had nothing but Cummins trucks and have been messing around modding them for years. Definitely miss it right now. Glad you went 5.9
As for lifts:
I have ran Pro Comp Leveling Kits on my diesels. Make sure you dont go over 2.5" or you will run into death wobble issues possibly.
I have never had an issue out of my pro comp leveling kits. Cheap, easy install, and look great.
If you want to go bigger than you NEED to get a full lift. Don't go half way. So I recommend 4" or bigger.
Top Gun Customz has some good 4-6" lifts.
Rough Country has a good 5" lift
With a leveling kit you can fit 35s and still tow a trailer. With a 4" plus you can fit 37s but it will be much more difficult to tow.
If you want big wide tires and wheels you most likely need a 4" or bigger. If you go 4" you might as well go 6" since its not much more and you'll regret it.
If you have any more Cummins questions let me know. Its about all I know
