Default What oil to run in freshly rebuilt V10?

I have done all of the break in fo rthe rebuild on my V10, now it is time to change the oil a final time and start my normal changing schedule. What brand oil do you guys recommend?

I believe the motor is spec'd for 10w30 so that's fine but I would consider a 0w30 synthetic. It will give you a better start up while still providing the weight you need for normal operation. I'm an Amsoil guy so that's what I would recommend.

I use Mobil 1 synthetic for the following reasons -

1. It's readily available at any parts store.

2. The cost is reasonable.

3. If it's good enough to come as the factory fill in Vipers and SRT-8's, it's good enough for my engine.

4. It keeps the inside of my engine spotless and sludge free. (I know this because I've recently had a valve cover off to replace a leaking gasket).

5. It handles 7500 mile change intervals with no problem.
