Default Approved, now what?

Well, I got approved for a vehicle up to $30,000. Im not going anywhere near that as I want a used cheap vehicle for now. I am looking at an 06 Cabolt and an 03 VUE... both under 8K... the cabolt has better gas mileage but the VUE is bigger....hmmmm the Vue is blue which I like where the cabolt is white which I hate..... cant win, cant lose? Maybe a 08 Malibu for under 7K that's blue... lower MPG
also looking to keep the insurance costs down since I have to have full coverage while financed.

maybe you could buy this

my buddy just bought a used Toyota pickup, his gas mileage just simply irritates me
same with another guy that i work with sometimes, he bought a used small Ford Ranger pickup, we both drove about 200 miles, he filled up his tank before & after the trip, it cost him less then $16.00 to top off, i was amazed, because we both had our signs up & they act like a brake

I had a 06 Cobalt which I used as a trade in on my truck. it has 130,000 miles on it. The Cobalt is a good car, good gas mileage only thing people complain about with driving is it sounds like the drivers window does not seal properly but that is a Cobalt thing. Also from personal experience, rear ended someone doing less the 5 MPH and crumpled my front end it to the sum of $5000 for repairs.
Except that, was a good car, you can always go to www.yourcobalt.com to see what other people say about the Cobalt.

If the price is good enough, plan on having it painted very soon!

Hell if you're getting the car cheap enough, then a $399 Mayco paint job may be right up your alley LOL

Well the cobalt should run me $133 a month and full coverage is $88 a month, $77 with higher deductible... but I think the $500 deductible is good enough. Well, tomorrow will tell the tale.

I'd avoid the Vue if it has the GM powertrain, they are unreliable and parts may be difficult to come by now that Saturn is Gone. Plus resale value is down the tubes just for the very reason that Saturn has gone bust. If the Vue has the Honda powertrain (3.5L V6 I believe) then it's worth a look but for your money there are better options. Judging from your choices you prefer GM merchandise? Then I'd go for a cobalt, they offer probably the best reliability of that era of GM (pre-bankruptcy GM) As for the '08 Malibu, it was built in that time where GM was having trouble so it might refflect in overall product quality so I'd avoid those era of cars. but that's me based on my knowledge. If you want to stick with fuel efficient GM then I'd avoid the optra and the aveo as they are actually rebadged Daewoos. Just saying their reputation is horrible.

I hope this helps and good luck.
