I have to agree with robpayneusaf.

I've seen/heard of it more than once and actually experienced it one time many years ago. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not happening. Rubbing in reverse at full-lock is a VERY common problem when you don't rub the opposite way.

Remember, as hard as you try, you simply cannot see ALL the happenings on the tire's inner sidewall [bulge] and what it's scrapping against thru the entire revolution.

Also, I've never heard of an alignment rectifying a "sound" issue.

Hope I'm wrong and please update.

Truck was sold today [5/19]. I got an offer I couldn't turn down. I had no more need for a pickup so I cut it loose. About to purchase a '14 Jeep SRT8 this week.
