Default A/C Controls

My fan speed control feels loose when I change the fan speed. The other controls seem fine. Anybody know if that is normal?

Many have complained that the fan switch seems loose, like its going to break off, I agree, its loose, but apparently this is normal. I don't like it, but dealer says they are all like this.

yes it is fairly common unfortunately. my 2012 has that loose knob. I used to work at Chrysler and it was a common complaint and not just among the Rams.

They designed them that way, supposedly to keep the knob from breaking. Don't sweat it.

So I guess I don't need to waste a trip to the dealership?

I wouldn't if I had known on day one, but thats what happened, picked up the truck, thought someone had banged it with there nee and wanted it replaced, they said its normal, there all like that, dealer gave some reason and said check the other trucks, all the same.

Wow, this is good to know. I've been thinking that mine was loose as well, and it seemed odd this was the only one too.

Good to know. Thanks!

I read this post the other day, and thought "hmmm.... I don't think that I have noticed this on mine." Remembered to check today, and nope, mine feels as solid as all the other controls.
