Default Toyo AT II "EXTREME" - But rubs a bit.

Hey boys. So I just had a new set of 305/55/20's put on the stock rims. I have the Blistein level at 2.1 and I'm getting a bit of rub at full left lock. Les Schwab is recommending a new set of rims with a 25 offset. There has to be a cheaper way to get the right offset besides dropping another grand on a set of rims.... Suggestions? (yes now I have the EXCUSE for rims, but I'd rather not just right now).

Incidentally, the open country AT II look great. I think they're a good balence between an AT and the MT. I'll see if I can get some pics up soon....

Thanks in advance!

Two words: Wheel spacers! Order up some 1/4" wheel spacers and you'll clear them no problem.

I'm pretty sure your stock rims are a 25 offset anyway, so buying another set of those isn't going to solve anything....

If they're already a 25 offset wouldn't adding a 1/4 spacer solve the problem? Maybe I'm missing something.

Here are the photos of the new tires. So far pretty impressed. A touch louder than expected but I like the look.

Hey Tim28, you could try these spacers that look very strong.

Those suckers are supposed to be real heavy. Any noticeable loss in power?

Isn't stock offset like 19? Wouldn't 25 make them tuck in even more? Isn't that why u are rubbing

Yes, that's what I was saying. Just add a 1/4" spacer to your factory wheels and you will clear the tires no problem. Les Schwab recommending an aftermarket wheel with a 25 offset doesn't make any sense because you'd still have to run a 1/4" spacer with those. You'd want a 12 or 0 offset on an aftermarket rim for the set up to work properly.
