Default Wheel and Tire help

Well lately I have been looking at upgrading to some aftermarket wheels and tires. I have found the wheels that I want what I am having trouble with is weather to go with 17x8 or 20x9 TUFF AT Wheels T01 Flat black with red inserts and Im wanting to run 35x12.5in Federal Couragia M/T's. What I want to know is would there be any problems running this kind of wheel and tire combo on my 09 1500 because its been awhile since Ive had to buy truck wheels and tires, and last time I did my wheels and tires were within 1/2in width wise so they matched up nicely. Also any other input or recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

I was looking to buy wheels for my first Ram a while back and came to a website called Mrwheeldeal.com. This is a great site to shop for all the wheels and tires you need. They have a very large selection and a free quoting email system. You can tell him what type of truck you have, what tires and/or wheels you want, and what kind of lift or lowering kit you currently have on it. With this information you can also have him tell you what the biggest possible tire you can have on your truck with out affecting the clearance is. He is pretty reasonable on his prices and you could work with him, or you can just take the information he gives you and shop for yourself.

I was looking at that exact wheel for my truck, nice choice! As long as you get the correct off set I don't see why there would be a problem.

are you leveled? You will have to be leveled to clear those tires.

By the way, I have the same tires and love them. No complaints yet. And those wheels are sick. It'll be interesting though with your yellow truck.
I run a -12mm offset and have no rubbing issues. The tires are a complete 12.5" wide...more like just a hair over 12". And they are only 34" tall. mounted with the weight of the truck on them.

My tires stick out about 1.5" give or take from the fender with that -12mm offset

I've been told by the place I was looking to buy the wheels from that the 17's will fit just waiting to seep if the have the 20's in stock for my truck and all the wheels are a 10mm offset and yes I am planning to do a 2in leveling kit. Also my plan is to see how the red accents look on my truck and if I don't like it that much I think I can remove the pieces so that I can take them to be powder coated/painted to match my truck

yes 17" wheels will fit. any smaller and you can't clear the rear brakes. I run my 35x12.5x17 federals on a 17" wheel. I like the more tire, less rim look. And that's awesome you can remove the inserts, those wheels look awesome. +10 offset...that is still better than stock. And because our wheels aren't actually a full 12.5" wide..you should be good. It's the width that gets us not the height.

What is strange is on rimzoneonline (where i got my tires) they say those tires are only 9.8" wide...what the heck? lol definitely not true

I looked at these wheels in person and you are correct the accents can be removed and painted or powder coated!

I've seen both 17's and 20's of the Jester wheels with the Federal M/Ts and both look really great and looking at these wheels and to me both sizes are gonna look great on a dodge right now it's just which wheel set is in stock and price cause the 17's from the shop I'm talking with are $560 shipped but I can drive to the shop and could maybe lower the price even more and then $1000 for tires the price difference between the sizes is $10 per tire

Yeah that's part of the reason I was drawn to them when I saw them at the Chicago auto show for the first time and then had to do lots of GoogleFu to find who made them let alone where to buy a set.
