Default Upgrade Mod Questions

hey everybody. i'm completely new here on this forum. i own an '06 Ram 2500 SLT Big Horn with the 5.7 Hemi. Looking to add a few mods to my truck. already have dual flowmasters and a slight lift kit and all terrain tires. but looking to add a CAI and maybe a throttle body if it's possible. anything else y'all can think of, that isn't too expensive and impossible to add, im down to slap on my truck. There's a lot of CAI out there that i've seen, not sure what to get. And not sure at all about the throttle body. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

For CAI.. I recommend the S&B intake.. I installed it few weeks ago, and absolutely love it, and is great quality. Moe's Performance is sopose to be real good throttle body...

A tuner is also a great investment.. A lot of people here use Diablo products, superchip and bullydog (i think its bullydog). Will also help you get a bit more distance out of your gas.

Personally, i hate overspending for a piece of pipe and a filter...$300+ is way out of my pocket for an intake
Thats why I opted for the Spectre. $170ish and does the same thing as the other brands

I prefer a fully enclosed intake, Open intakes aren't a true Cold air. Even with a heat sheild... heat will still get in between hood and weather seal.

thanks for the advice guys. price isn't a crazy big deal right now. but wouldn't want to break a grand when all is said and done. but yea, if the part does the same thing and cost $100 less, and is just as good, why not save the money. any other advice is welcome. and whats a good website to order from.

Well just keep the stock box and get a good drop-in filter. After all the stock intake is a true cold-air-intake.

You will pay a bit more for a fully enclosed CAI.. but with open intakes.. hot air can be drawn in.. which sort of defeats the purpose of a CAI.
