Default Magnum casting date

Ok so I got this 5.9 im building for my ram. I was under the impression that it was the stock motor in the 99 ram it cam out of. However that was the second motor for that truck and not the original. Is there any way to get a date of build off the block? I have found several numbers. But I have had zero luck finding out what they mean.

Default Casting script

Magnums decode as follows: EXAMPLE
6S5.9LTYYYYXXXXXXXX
  • 6 is last digit of model year
  • S Plant where M - Mound road
    • S- Saltillo
    • T - Trenton
    • K - Toluca
  • 5.9L engine displacement
  • T truck
  • YYYY Month/Day
  • XXXXXXXX 8 digit serial number
This is up 'til 98 0r 99. Later than that the displacement was spelled out 318 or 360 and the serial number is shortened to four digits.
Good luck, Chango
