Default RPM question...

Okay folks when I rev my engine it seems to take longer than it should to come back to idle. This is a used truck, had 23000 miles on it when I got it. It runs fine other than the long time to come back to idle.

If I remember correctly that's a safety measure RAM puts into the HEMI trucks. Mine has always done it as well. It does suck not being able to rev up like my old muscle cars will (because it sounds so good ) but if it makes the engine last longer I'm not going to complain.
