I'm taking it to a nearby dealership next week. I told them to keep it until they see the starting issue occur.

Starting continues to be "hit and miss". It failed to start on 4 trys yesterday when heading home. I put it in neutral, then back in park, it started right up.

dodge29; just reading your last post, I really think something is in need of adjustment with your neutral safety switch or something therebouts with what you physically accomplished by going to neutral, then back to park.

You'd think so, but adjustments have already been performed to no avail.

My selling dealership played with the shift linkage 3 times, no help. On the last visit I finally got them to change the TRS, no help. I'm trying a nearby dealership next week. We are willing to let them have the truck until they see it happen.

I've been wondering if there might be a loose multi-pin connector somewhere either in line or at the firewall. My last truck a 1988 F150, had an issue with this but it didnt effect the starting.

I know, my wife and I are worried that it will leave us sitting somewhere on our diving vacation in May. Appreciate your concern.

It's certainly possible. It could also be a module issue as well. Things like this are hard to track down, especially if you don't have a top-notch electrical tech on the case.

Let me ask you, is there any "wearing in" period for the TRS? I'm imagining some kind of wiper contact arrangement. Also would all of the adjustment they did prior to changing the TRS then need readjusted after the new TRS was installed?

The reason I ask is that Monday morning was the last failed start. It has started several times each on tue, weds and today.
