especially watch the fender lips...dirt gets caked up on them, impossible to see. That's where the rust will start. On my vehicles (new or used) I always wipe them right out and give them a light coat of bearing grease. I do this whether I get it treated or not. And if you do get your truck treated, make sure they are clean before it goes in and they hit those spots.

Yeah I have been making sure to keep those spots clean as I did a rust job repair on a friends step dads 04 above the rears few months back.. Since then been checking all the time.

The oil spray I am going to look into soon, and we do undercoating at work, so may just take advantage of that and spray that down too.

if you already have the equipment, i think that crescent oil sells undercoating/rustproofing.

This is an example why there was no question about rust-proofing at Krown. This was a couple days before my new truck.

I coated the frame, all visible painted metal and removed the spare to get the underside of the bed. I coated every visible fastener I saw and didn't spray the plastic stuff. I avoided the drive shaft and exhaust but did coat the entire rear axle and all suspension parts that were not aluminum (they were painted black) Four cans covered most of it.

I got mine sprayed with Corrosion Free last fall. No problems ... it keeps electrical contacts from corroding ...
