Best I've been able to find on a 7 year, 85000 mile warranty is $1330 (genuine Chrysler). Honestly that seems pretty cheap for the benefit. Covers me for 7 years at 12k miles per year (about my average).
Any thoughts? What did you do?
I got the full lifetime bumper to bumper for 2100 bucks.
I came from a long line of toyotas, lastly a 2010 tundra. They were bullet proof.
but I really liked the Ram and wanted to get one, so I figured for 2100 bucks I wouldn't have to worry.
I mean, lets face it, Chrysler doesn't have a good rep for quality and reliability in the past, I was willing to take a chance that these new ones are better, which so far they are, but I wanted plan B in case it turns out to be a shit-box.
so ya, extended warranty for me, especially with all the electronics in this thing. All it takes is the 8.4 screen to go out and that 2K easy right there.
ps. you guys paying those 3K and up prices are getting ripped off. go through the on-line process. my truck sticker was over 48K and I only paid 2100...my dealer tried the 3K+ crap and I said no way, here is my on-line qoute for 2100,
they said, ok we'll match that.....
