Default Going rate for OEM 20" 2013 rims?

I bought my 2013 Ram last week and already looking at buying new tires and wheels for it. To offset the cost, I want to sell the OEM 20" "Premium" rims and tires, but I don't know what they are going for in today's market. Does anyone have any ideas? Less than 300 miles on the tires, still look brand new.

Also, I'm not a big "rim" guy and think that most of today's rims look ugly as sin. I'm more of a simple guy and was considering 16-17" steel Cragers that are $50/each on Summit Racing. Does anyone know of any negatives of going that route?

Craigslist those wheels and tires and ask for at least a grand. Sixteens to replace them would be a bit too small. But seventeen would be fine. Just watch the offset. Aim for an offset in the low negatives. Which on Summit's site means you have to look for a 17 x 8 with a 4.25" backspace for a -6mm offset, or a 4" offset for a -12mm offset or even a 3.75" backspace for a -19 offset.
If the rims are only seven inches wide, that will add 12mm of positive offset to each of those offset numbers I quoted you for those backspacings. So the negative six offset would be positive six, negative twelve would end up zero, and negative nineteen would be negative six.
The lower the offset, the further out those wheels will sit. I would want a 17 x 8 with a 3.75" backspace. Find out the offset on your wheels first so that you can decide if you want the same or if you want your new wheels to sit further out. I know the 20 x 9 chrome clads are +19 offset. Not sure if you have the 20 x 8. If so, it might be a different offset. Maybe its stamped on the inside of the rim somewhere..

I'd highball those brand new wheels for atleast $1600-1700 and if the price drops, it drops. I bet there are a lot of older 4th gen guys that would like the new 2013 wheels.

16" won't fit over the rear brakes. 17 is the smallest you'd want to go. JEGS has some pretty good simple wheels. I like the mickey thompson classics, they are $99 a piece, check them out. depending on the tire size you get, like lowUFO said, you need to watch your offset. Stock offset is around +19 i think. Atleast for the previous rams. So if you go to a wider tire, you need to drop to around a 0 --> - offset.

Are you going up in tire size? are you going for an offroad stance with aggressive tires? or staying stock size with stock stance? that will determine offset.

Wow, thanks for the info guys! I'm still not sure how all of the offsets work... But I'm slowly learning. I want to keep the tires about as far in as I can get. I don't like the looks of them hanging way out, but a little bit isn't bad if needed.

As far as size, I'm probably going to level it with the 5100s up front, so since the tires on it now are 33s, I think I might be able to get to a 35? Not 100% sure.

I'm really worried about voiding my 7 year/100,000 mile warranty with doing any sort of body/suspension lift. Annnd I'm poor LOL!!!

you won't void any warrenty unless whatever u install DIRECTLY causes the issue. with bilsteins u can fit a 35". but there are metric sizes that can get u taller but not necessarily wider. (the width is what gets us on these trucks, not really the height) when u get to around 12, 12.5 wide then u need negative offset or spacers. so there is definitely a way to get what you want!

Well then! haha

Have any good suggestions for cheaper tires that look pretty mean and have decent on/off road capabilities? Not really looking to spend $300/tire...

Oh, and I still am not 100% sure how I'm going to do this as I'm probably going to need to buy these tires/rims with the $ I get from selling the current rims/tires. Haha, I might have to throw it up on jacks for a few days.

Uhmm... yeah tires are expensive as hell. I went with a beefy mud terrain tire. The federal couragia M/Ts, which were like $260 a tire....SUPER CHEAP for a 35" M/T, but that scares some people into thinking they are crap. I have no complaints so far. I do a lot of highway driving, and go play in the mud and they hum some on the highway but nothing terrible in my opinion.

BFG AT KO are a good AT and look pretty good. It really depends on the size you go as far as price is concerned.

I spent $1700 shipped on my wheel/tire combo from rimzoneonline.com
