Default Took driver door panel off, found this...

I took plenty of pictures. One of the part numbers does not come up, yet has a serial number? What is that for?

Also, on the door module, there is an empty plug (port one) could this be the port for turn signal mirrors? I noticed that the power for the mirrors is Port 2.

Anyone able to shed some light on this?

Gordon

The first photo is a Door Pressure Sensor (DPS) which is used on vehicles with seat mounted air bags. This is different than the impact sensor. The empty C1 is used for puddle lamps and mirror position feedback signals in some configurations.

So does that mean that I can set the mirrors with the signals and puddle lamp and plug them in and they should work? (may need flashed with sales code)?

Good question. The wiring diagram shows only the circuits named above but I can't be sure because this diagram isn't VIN specific.

Maybe. From what I saw earlier, I believe the turn signal operation is controlled through another of the connectors.

Well, I like it that they are there, if they are for future use, making it easy to do wiring!

The xtra socket does not guarantee that you can get those lamps to work. I upgraded my mirrors but will have to hardwire the lamps. Dealer told me the codes could not be added to my truck.
