Default Tire/wheel/ spacer question

I have an 06 1500 5.7. I have the cooper discover STT 305/55/12.5/20's on there and there was rubbing against control arm so I put an 1/8 spacer on . But ride is rough even after alignment and balancing. Any ideas or solutions would be great

Hmmmm...was the ride rough before the spacers? Or did you drive it any with that wheel and tire combo before putting the spacers on? By riding rough do you mean the suspension is stiff and harsh over bumps and such or is it more of a vibration/out of balance issue? Spacers alone can't really cause a rough ride. If they aren't perfectly centered on the hub before the wheel is bolted on they can cause balance issues (even if the tire and wheel is balanced) and can cause vibrations. The solution to that would be hubcentric spacers from Motorsports Technologies which run about $200. Those would be a pretty much guaranteed fix if it's the spacers causing the problem but you probably want to try to verify that it's the spacers before you drop $200.
