Default ram air hood fitment problems

hey guys i have a 2011 ram 1500 that im in love with lol im always looking to add and customize my truck to me. recently i was driving form texas to dc and has a piece of road dabri put a hole in my hood so im trying to take that as a chance to put a ram air hood on it i found one i like from a company in florida called suncoast creations so i ordered it when i finally got it and test fit it it didnt line up i called the company they were mor than happy to help and within a few days i had a replacement but it fit even worse than the first my truck has never been wrecked and fenders never removed or adjusted the company is still trying to make me happy and see if they can figure out whats going on with there hoods there customer service is great and they have great reviews i dont understand whats going on

so my question is does anyone have any suggestions on an aftermarket hood for a 2009-2012 ram 1500

and if anyone has ordered from this company how was the body line fitment on your hood it would be great to hear from anyone with advice im just at a loss

I had to shim the hood a good 3/16" on the hinges before I was happy with the fit. You should be able to pick up a hood shim kit from a body shop or just use washers. There's plenty of bolt length on the suncoast to do this.

ill try the shim idea i had thought about it at one point i just dont think it will fix the problem but ill let you know and ill more than likely get some pictures up tomorrow... it just seemed like the hood was really tweeked and short on both sides like i could stick my finger between the hood an fender on both sides and and run it all the way down and were the hood fender and windshield meet it didnt even seem to be the same shame...

no i have not tried without the hinged... ill give that a try also

Seems like aftermarket hoods all need work to get them to fit correctly, that translates into money at the body shop.
