Default Adding OEM fog light question

So I want to add oem style fog lights to my 05' ST. The wires are already sitting behind the fog light blanks. I have found factory style lights with the plug connections and a factory light switch with the foglight option. My question is, will installing a new switch and just pluging in the fog lights work or not? I've read something about having to get the computer flashed at a dealer or something. Is that true for an 05'?

Thanks

The fog lamp relay is ultimately controlled by the FCM. I'm not sure about needing a configuration update, but I don't think you do. You will need to add a relay and fuse in the IPM along with the lights and switch.

Thanks RamTech. I just checked my fuse box and both the fuse and relay are already in place. I should just need the lights, bezels, switch, and harness extensions as long as the FCM plays nice.

You lucked up. I had to add a relay and fuse to mine but it's not a big deal; I have a box full of stuff like that.
