hi im new to the forum i got a 2000 ram 2500 360 v8. i have a kn cold air intake, 3 inch exhaust no cat with a flow master 40 series, 37 inch tires, built tranny(billet tc high performance clutches, shift kit) and 4.88 gears. i understand its a lifted truck and it will never get good fuel economy but i think i should be getting a little more than 4 miles to the gallon any ideas? i was told the gears were the answer but i installed them and things don't seem better.
Whoever told you the gears were the problem was right....the closer you get to 1-1 the worse the fuel mileage....I would suggest putting a little shorter gears in it...maybe some 4:11 gears would do better for you
