Smile 2 Day Old Laramie Hemi 8 Speed Pictures

I thought I'd share a few pictures of my new Ram. I thought my wife was going to kill me during this whole wait and up and done the status ladder but she's final here.

I took some pictures of things that most of us were trying to see/figure out so maybe this will help answer some of the questions.

As you'll see I got the bench seats. I like the tigher fit of the 40% vs full bucket. It just provides me more support.

I took the Ram rubber floor mats and they are color coordinated with the interior. I thought they would beblack. Pleasantly surprised.
You can see I got stainless steel sill protectors. I'm always dragging my shoe over the sill.

The full rubber flaps are molded and quite nice IMO. We know the molded plastic don't fit ..at least from RAM.

I went with the bed step from AmpResearch. I don't know if its my age or what; but I am getting tired of climbing into the bed. Also one of the reason I went with the full length running boards. They don't look too bad chrome vs silver in the two tone configuration.

I love TruXedo bed covers. This one is the Low Pro QT.They just don't fade/crack/or break. I would have put my 14 year old one but the Ford bed was slightly different.

Attached is PDF of a Billet Catch Can installation. Scott at Billet thinks it might be the first. It is a little closeeeeee. Look over in the Hemi mods area for the write-up.

I used the Trimex cable lock for the spare. No fiture it to tight in there.

I look forward to seeing your pictures when your trucks arrive. I'm sure they'll be as nice or better than mine.

Congratulations on your new Ram
Everything about your Ram looks good

Why do they put that color on the steering wheel, are there other areas with the darker color ??
I looked at the Bed Step from Amp Research & decided the Debo Step suited my needs a bit better, maybe because i am getting old, knees don't work like they used to

The 8 Speed has been like slilk and quick. The only thing that comes close to it is the Allison HD 6 speed in my motorhome.

If you look closer (I know with the shadows it tough) you see the door panel and dash are the same Dark Red/Brown color. For the door and steering wheel it's great for me as my hands can get sweaty in the summer.

I liked the AmpResearch for these reasons:
  • foot operated both open and close - no bending down/over
  • Siderail acts a handhold going up and down
The design would be better if it was on the curb side. I personally don't do any loading in an active street; but that could be an issue for some.

Great looking truck! I'm considering the bench over the buckets as well; all the benefits of the cooled seats, similar total storage volume, and the option to have 6 people or stuff on the floor.

It's funny, that last pic looks so familiar. my in-laws' house is a mirror image of yours, they're fairly close to you in the Feasterville-Trevose area.
