Default Speedometer Issue

My 08 Ram 4x4 quad 5.7, 185.000 km, speedometer shows incorrect speed, approx half of true speed. Did the gauge cluster self test, speedometer behaved correct. No indicator lights illuminated. Took it to dealer, checked for codes, there are none. On a test drive, the scanner displayed incorrect speed as well. Dealer says no bad sensors, but can't determine what's causing the speedometer problem. The cruise also doesn't work at times. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Might have to replace the ABS sensors, they are used for the speedo readings. If the cluster self test shows no mechanical limits then you're probably looking for electrical gremlins, which will be the ABS sensor or the cluster itself.

Default Speedometer issue continued

So I took the truck to an experienced dodge mechanic who told me the truck has 4 wheel abs and it's not supposed to have a rear differential sensor (which it doesn't). But my build sheet says it has 2 wheel abs, and the truck has only 2 brake lines going to abs module. So I visited another dodge dealer who said based on the truck VIN it should have the rear differential sensor, but I checked and it doesn't. So I unplugged my rear wheel abs sensors and the speedometer now works perfect but the abs and brake warning lights are now on in the dash. This tells me the speedo gets the signal from the front driver side wheel, because it has a wire going to it but the other front wheel does not. At least I now have a speedometer, the downside is I don't have abs now.
