The regular cab sport eight speed 4x4 I have ordered says "Customer Preferred Package 26L" on my POC sheet. Does anyone know exactly what the 26L package contains? I tried an internet search, but could not find an answer. I hope it is with the 3.55 gear. I did not order the 3.92 gear as I felt the 3.55 would be enough with the eight speed.

I believe that just means you have the sport package...or version of the Ram.

2. What about the "3/4 tank of gas bump" that drives people crazy sounds like you are getting rear ended problem with new hemis? Did Ram put baffles in tank?

3. How is your paint job? Some had bad paint up to 2012 models.

One more thing: heheheee, this spinning rear tires not moving phase will stop when you realize that you need to save every penny you can for your future. At my age, my advice is to - STOP DOING THAT MESS AND SAVE YOUR TRUCK AND MONEY! If you live long enough, you'll wish you did, believe me!
1. I do not have many miles on it at all so if it has ever went to 4 cylinders I didn't notice it. I think if you turn on tow mode it will never go to 4 cylinders, but I don't think it goes in to 4 cylinders unless you are on a highway and going down hill or perfectly flat and not accelerating.

2. I am actually still on my first tank of gas and I went from full to 1/2 on mostly highway. But when I did stop I did not notice anything. Although I drive very smoothly, I never brake hard. So that could be part of it.

3. I have not got a chance to do a thorough wash and clay bar and all that but I did wash it once and did not find any problems at all! Plus it looks great! No complaints at all.

And yeah I understand! I did not even try to spin them at a stop really, and as soon as I heard them start to spin I let off the brake and went! I am very against burnouts, I plan to never smoke the tires in this truck. I am actually planning on saving up some money and buying a Corvette or something like that for all the "fun stuff" :P.

I ask because I though I had 3:55s until I saw my build sheet, here is what I saw:

RPO code: DMCP
3.21 Rear Axle Ratio

The window sticker said 3:55s but that can be overridden by an option, in my case, the 26H order option. With ratios the 8 speed offers, 3:21s do a good job of balance between performance and economy. At 55 MPH the RPM is around 1100 to 1200.
I don't think you can get a 4x4 with the 3:21 gears. I am about 90% sure I have the 3:55's. I will check for sure later though!

I may be wrong. But I think the 4x4 uses 3.55 as default and 3.92 is an option. But I think the 2wd uses 3.21 as default and 3.55 and (not sure) 3.92 is an option.

You can get the 4x4 with 3.21. I drove one similar to this one at the dealership before I ordered mine with 3.92 gears

Guess I was wrong! Maybe it is the sport 4x4 that you can not get 3.55 with... I think I remember seeing only being able to choose 3.55 (default) or 3.92 for a little extra when I built my truck 100 times on the ram website

5 of the 6 Hemi/8-speed 4x4 Rams that Earnhardt Dodge in Gilbert Arizona has all have 3.21 axels. I didn't think you could get the 3.21 on a 4x4, but they must have changed it due to the 8-speeds better gears. Even the SLT with Big Horn equipment group comes standard with 3.21s. They did equip one with 3.55s though for an extra $50.

I actually love the SRT-8 challenger, I test drove one when I went to test trucks. Thing was very fast! As the sales man found out. Only reason I want a corvette is becuase it is more of a performance car and it is fairly cheap compared to a 392 charger or challenger. Also the corvette will get better mpg and they are less common then the chargers or challengers. Sorry, I am not a one brand man. I just pick the vehicle that fits my needs and wants the best! Although I will never own a ford, other than a GT500 or a Ford GT.
