Default Got capped today!

This is actually my 2nd new shell in the few months I've had my new RAM. Long story short, first one was not 100% what I ordered so it got returned. This round I went with a whole new shell shop. These folks took real good care of me and did a little custom install of interior cargo lights (Hooked to my cargo light switch). It looks great, they did a way better job installing the shell than the last shop. Although pics taken during day (hasn't got dark here yet) the interior cargo light are better than I had hoped for. Heres some shots:

I see the fork lift bringing that cap over. I had no idea they were that heavy.

They're not all that heavy just awkward for one person to handle. It can be done by sliding it down the bed rails and off the back.

Looks great. I'm strongly considering gettin a cap. I think they look good on a tall lifted truck (which mine soon will be). I just really want to be able to leave my fishing poles in my truck since I go so often. I hate having to take them inside and downstairs every time I go out/come back.

But there are also times I love having an open bed. But I dont want a bed cover either. So looks like I'll just have to suck it up.

Again, your's looks great!

I got capped this weekend too! Where did you go? I see you are in So Cal, so am I. I went to California Shells in Ontario. They had the best prices on the Leer 700 tonneau.

Nice cap! really looks good! When ever I see a ram with that style cap, I often think what the truck would look like if was all on body like the Ford Excursion.

exactly! That's why I like caps on lifted trucks...reminds of lifted excursions and we used to have one and I love that thing, it was a monster.

If you want the option of coverage and also open bed.. Just suck it up and get a tri-fold cover.. I got a soft one.. Great and handy, flips up for when I need the box open.. and when I want it fully gone it takes me 1 minute max to remove it and place it back on.

That cap looks real good by the way. I couldn't get one because I use my bed for very odd shaped big objects and it would be a pain to remove and install. Very handy to have though.. and then you could carpet the back.. throw a air mattress in it and go camping where ever you want whenever it pleases you

Thanks friend. I went to Southbay Truck Tops in Harbor City http://sbtrucktops.com/

They took real good care of me after my fiasco with the shop in Downey. They met the best price I had and charged me almost half of what Dodge Dealer wanted to install the Interior Cargo Lights. Going back for future installs (if I decide to do these mods) like Bull Bar and interior lighting kit. Highly Recommended, they did so much better of a job than that first hack shop in Downey. It's nice when a shop treats your truck with the same care as you would.
