Smile Paint Flaw

Paint Flaw!
So I was hand washing and waxing my truck today after work so 6pm for the first time and found a paint flaw. I thought Oh Shit, had the truck over a month now guess this one is on me…

But I took a picture of the paint on the cell phone and text messaged it to the Dealer/Salesman I bought the truck from up in Omaha NE.
In minutes I had a phone call not an email or text, but Lee was on the phone to me person to person wanting to know just where the flaw was and letting me know how we would go about getting it fixed for me.

I tell you what this has got to be the best Dealership in the world, or at least the best sales rep ever.
Lee told me do not worry find a place have the paint fixed since I am to far away to bring it in to them at the dealership and he will have the bill paid for.
I just can’t believe I have never bought a Ram Before!!!

In shock…

Now THAT is a paint flaw. Most people complain about thin or chipping paint, but that's one I haven't seen before, and I'm quite surprised it was able to leave the factory like that. Where is it located on the truck?

Oh so sorry I should have stated that....

As you can see I am not a chrome fan.
So I ordered my Ram 1500 Outdoorsman with the bumpers painted the Maximum Steal Metallic like the rest of the truck.
That is the front bumper drivers side, between the tow hook and the fog lamp.

That makes perfect sense as I thought it would be on a bumper since those are usually painted seperately and in a hanging position.

Glad to see they are takink fast care of it.
I have a complaint in myself for a small run above the taillight. I bought it during a rainy week. I paint cars so I usually catch everything. I passed on 2 other rams because of more obvious flaws. It almost looks like it was damage and fixed but I can't find any spots that show it was done at a shop after delivery. I can pick apart most jobs done at the local dealerships from several feet away. If this wasn't a factory defect I will say it is one of the best jobs I have seen I couldn't even find any hidden clues behind the taillight which led me to believe it was a factory flaw. I talked to someone from Chrysler and send a pic to them and they are supposed to get back to me. I would have went though the dealer but they already owe me a window and some $$ from where the glass was scratched during the tint and a small chip was put on the paint on the window frame.
