Default Tekonsha Prodigy Trailer Brake Controller

Where did you mount your Tekonsha Prodigy Trailer Brake Controller on your 2013 ? Anyone have any pictures. I traded my 2010 for a 13 on Saturday.

My truck is a 2012, but I am sure it is about the same. The shop where I bought it mounted mine on the front panel, below the dash and in front of my right knee. I had my Prodigy in my previous vehicle mounted in the same location and it seemed to work well, mostly out of the way but handy when needing to operate it. When I get home from work, I'll try to remember to take a photo and post it.

I read your write up. It was a good one. There is a plug and play harness for them now. I ordered it last night.

As mentioned earlier, here are a couple photos of my Tekshona Prodigy mounting location. Hope this helps.

I thought that would be a good place to put it. I mounted it in the factory mounting place on my 2010.

Default Brake Controler

Why wouldn't you install a factory integrated brake controler on a 2013 Ram? 2013 Ram's electrics are totally different and after market controllers have been scrambling to try to come up with an aftermarket solution. Plus, the after market controller looks like crap. Don't be surprised somewhere down the road( pardon the pun), that after market unit all of a sudden decides it doesn't like the new Ram's electronics. It is already happening!

I was looking to buy the integrated controller ($215) and install it myself because I thought the wiring harness for my Prodigy was $100...i guess i had the wrong part. I guess i can take it off craigslist and buy the $25 dollar solution and use the savings to buy truck accessoy Let us know if the installation with that harness works all the lights and brakes! Thanks!
