Exclamation Would This Conversion Work? --- Need Expert Help

I've been wanting to improve the look of my wheel well as a whole (rims, tires, calipers) and I've been able to do most of it except the calipers.

I've been looking into big brake kits but haven't found Brembo for 2012 Rams. I know there are parts that get shared between our Rams and other Dodge vehicles like Challenger and Charger.

So would it be possible to get brake components from the Charger/Challenger SRT8 models and install them on a Ram 1500? Such as calipers, rotors, etc...

I just wonder if this is possible or how much would have to be modified in order to get it to work.

The Ram has a different lug pattern than the LXs, so you wouldn't be able to swap rotors, and the calipers won't bolt into place either, there would be a lot of fabricating to get everything to fit. Now, I'm not 1005, but you might want to look at the SRT10 brake assembly, or you can look for the SSBC big brake kit for the fronts.

I can't believe I didn't even think of that. It's the same lug pattern and all that right? Just larger rotors and calipers?

Say if I got calipers and rotors, would the '06 SRT-10 brake assembly bolt up to ANY existing parts on the 2012 Ram?

For the time being, you could just paint your calipers:

SRT-10s are the same 5x 5.5 lug pattern, so rotors shouldn't be an issue. The calipers are a big bigger, but I do believe this swap has been done with little work required. You're really just upgrading to a 4 piston caliper, not upsizing the rotor.

Are you just doing this for appearance or do you need better stopping power? If it's just appearance, you could look at things like MGP caliper covers. I have a set and they look great, cover the ugly caliper, and don't interfere with the caliper in any way.
