I've heard the TLC is working on a bracket to use their bags with a 6" lift. I also contacted Airlift about using Airlift 1000's with a 6" lift and they said you would need to buy bigger air bags. I'm assuming they have them in stock. I also think I saw a guy with a 6" lift running Airlift bags on the forum once. Don't remember who it was though or where I saw it.

So overall, yes I think it is possible.

I have to agree with them on this one I also have my bags separate going to the rear licence plate not "T" when your towing it keeps your load even the air stays where you want it, with the T it basically pushes the air from one bag to the other momentary lop-siding you.

my 2 cents

I installed the Airlift airbags last weekend and will be picking up my new travel trailer this coming weekend. Hoping for some good results.

I used the T also. I pull a travel trailer and it really helps it stay leveled out.

does installing these air bags increase the payload capacity at all? or is it strictly ride and handling?

[QUOTE=JMS4218;1062984]For those who have the air lift 1000's do you have each bag filled separate or by using the T fitting have the air go to both. I am trying to figure out which way is better. I like both but at times it would be nice to have them separate for greater stability and ability to adjust for load.[/QUOTE

IMHO, I think separate lines are safer, for example, with the lines inter-connected, when entering a long continuing curve in the road while pulling your travel trailer or any trailer with weight, with cetrifugal force acting on your vehicle, your vehicle will try to roll to the outside of the curve, in turn "unloading" the airbag on the inside, air from the outside bag will transfer to inside bag aggrivating the "rolling" tendency causing more instability. Won't happen with separate lines.

I guess If you dont fill them all the way. When towing I fill them to 35 so it don't matter. When not towing I keep them 5-10 just so they dont get crushed in the springs. Even at 25 I couldn't imagine much air transferring from bag to bag and making that much a difference. Airlifts are just a helper bonus anyways, only time I would really worry about instability is going over the payload or tow rating, my opinion anyways.
