Default Post HID / LED Bar installation Question

Folks, got my 55w 6000k HID's installed in my highs/lows/ and fogs today. Took it to a shop which specializes in doing lighting for new dodge's. Everything looks GREAT, the LED light bar + my HID's really lights up the road when required.

Only concern I have is under my stored messages I have a low beam / Tail light out message. Does this mean these messages are stored from during the installation, or is there a problem with how they were installed??

This company uses the Lumen HID kits that everyone uses to avoid CEL's and what not....

Let me know what you guys think, REALLY wanting to avoid bringing it back to this shop even tho it's warrantied. "Dropping off my vehicle and getting picked up is a real pain in the ass"

I got it all installed on my 2014 Ram 1500 Sport

Just to be thorough the HID's "Both His/lows/fogs" were installed using their own harness.

I have no issues with flickering or anything like that they work beautifully, I just have two error messages stored "brake lights out and low beams out".

Well the only advice I can offer is if they are stored messages it was likely a trail and error during install.

I would just clear them out and move on. I would only be concerned if they started coming back.

How do you clear the stored messages?

I think if you turn your key to the on position and completely press down the gas pedal 3 times with in 10 seconds should reset the message center.

I believe every time you turn on the truck it runs a check. When I installed my lights from Jeremy at the retroshop with a harness I had a passenger side bulb out error there in the stored messages. They started having issues and I put stock bulbs back in, error went away. Also had a canbus kit in for awhile before and never had an error on the dash. Think you need to take it back to them.

It is probably because HIDs are gas filled bulbs where as stock bulbs are filament bulbs. Trucks that arent wired for HIDs will come up with an error when HIDs are installed because it does not recognize it has having a bulb installed. It is a common error with HIDs. With my previous HID set before I got them from RetroShop I had to buy a Warning Cancellor Capacitor which was designed to fool the computer into thinking there was a halogen bulb installed and not an HID bulb. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice, however this may be a bigger problem as why would my brake light out warning light be on....

Either way I will be bringing my vehicle back *sigh*.... why o why did Chrysler have to make getting HID's this difficult on these trucks...

Is your brake light actually out? They have blown a fuse in the module and replaced it and just forgot to clear out the computer.
